Dr. Tamar Berchaushvili
Dr. Tamar Berchaushvili is Master of Public Affairs (MPA) within the Comparative and International Affairs Programme and holds PhD in Economics. She started her carrier as a Research Fellow at the Georgian National Academy of Sciences from 1986-1990. In June 1998 she became Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Georgia until August when she assumed the position of Minister. From 2000 until 2003 she served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. In 2004 she assumed the position of First Deputy State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. Dr. Berchaushvili was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2013 until 2014, when she started working as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
In her rich career, she served as visiting professor as well as associate professor at many universities, both in Georgia and abroad.
Dr. Berchaushvili received several awards for her work andshe is also the author of numerous articles.
