Mr. Levente Benkő
Mr. Levente Benkő was born on July 10, 1976 in Budapest. He holds MA in History, Political Science, from English ELTE University in Budapest. He started his professional career as Program Assistant at Freedom House in Hungary from 1997-1999. From 1999 until 2002 he was Foreign Affairs Advisor at Foreign and Security Policy Secretariat of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office. During the period 2002-2006 he served as International Press Advisor at Hungarian National Assembly. After this, he was Foreign Affairs Advisor at the Hungarian National Assembly 2006-2008. His position from 2008-2010 was Chief of Staff at the Hungarian Delegation in the EPP(-ED) Group of the European Parliament. He was Director General for Common Foreign and Security Policy at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Hungary from 2010 until 2014. Since 2014 Mr.Benkőhas held the position of the Political Director at Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
