Tamara Vujović

Minister, Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro

Tamara Vujovic, M.D, born on 25th August 1975. She graduated at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 2001. She attended the specialized studies of physical medicine from 2005 to 2010 at the same faculty. She worked as doctor in the Primary Health Care in Vozdovac from 2002 to 2003, and in the Institute “Simo Milosevic” from 2005 to 2015.

During 2015 she has been appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Herceg Novi, and in 2016 as the Deputy Minister of Health. In the period from 2017 to 2018, she worked as physiatrist in Private Health Institution “Dr Dimitrijevic” in Herceg Novi. She has been appointed as the Advisor of the Mayor of Herceg Novi in 2017. During 2016, she attended IVLP Programme of the State Department in the United States.

She was Secretary General of the NGO “Citizen alliance” in Herceg Novi as from 2016. She has been a member of the Presidency of the Association of Physiatrists of Montenegro. As from 2018, she has been a teacher of medical subjects in High School “Ivan Goran Kovacic” in Herceg Novi (department Physio therapeutical technician). She has been an associate at Applied Physiatry in Igalo, during several academic years.

At the parliamentary elections held on 30th August 2020, she has been elected as the Member of the Parliament of Montenegro. Co-chair of the National Commission for UNESCO in Montenegro.

Minister of Culture and Media of Montenegro since October 2023.
