Mr. Ervin Ibrahimović was born in Rožaje in 1972. He completed his primary and secondary education in Rožaje. He earned the title of metallurgical engineer at the Faculty of Metallurgy at the University of Priština and obtained his master’s degree in the subject field at the University of Belgrade. From 2000 to 2011, he worked as a teacher at the Secondary Vocational School in Rožaje. He has been present in the political scene of Montenegro for many years. He was elected president of the Bosniak Party (BS) at the IV Congress of BS, held on June 13, 2021, in Rožaje. He was elected as a councilor in the Rožaje Municipal Assembly for multiple terms.
He attended and successfully completed the Diplomatic Academy “Gavro Vuković” in Podgorica in 2004. From 2011 to 2016, he served as consul at the Consulate General of Montenegro in Frankfurt. He led the Bosniak Party list in the parliamentary elections of 2016, 2020, and 2023, when he was also elected as a member of the 26th, 27th, and 28th convocations of the Parliament of Montenegro. In the 26th and 27th convocations of the Parliament of Montenegro (from 2017 to 2022), he was a member/deputy Member of the Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He was a member of several working bodies of the Parliament of Montenegro, as well as the head of the BS parliamentary club in three terms.
He was elected Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro on December 8, 2021. At the session of the Parliament of Montenegro in Cetinje on April 28, 2022, he was elected Vice President of the 43rd Government of Montenegro for Regional Development and Minister of Capital Investments. He is currently Vice President of the Government of Montenegro for International Relations and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has been involved in sports for many years and achieved notable results as a basketball coach. He speaks English. He is married and a father of two children.
