Since June 2021, Megi Fino has served as Deputy Minister in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
She has an extensive academic background, having completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in Beijing in 2012, before pursuing a degree in Law at City, University of London. She earned a Master’s degree (LLM) in Public International Law, followed by a Professional Master’s degree in Legal Practice (LPC).
In 2015, she also obtained a Diploma in Chinese (Mandarin) from SOAS University of London.
Ms. Fino began her professional career as a legal advisor specializing in immigration law, working with international law firms and legal service entities. She gained significant experience providing legal counsel on welfare benefits entitlements and related areas during her studies and early career.
From 2018, she worked as a lawyer at CMS Adonnino Ascoli & Cavasola Scamoni, an international law firm in Tirana, before transitioning to the role of Regulatory Expert in the Legal and External Relations Department at Vodafone Albania.
In 2021, Ms. Fino designed the Integrity Index as part of UNDP’s STAR 3 project on local governance reform, where she served as an integrity consultant. This project aimed to improve transparency and accountability in local governance structures.
Since June 2025, Ms. Fino has also served as Chair of the City Council of Tirana.
She speaks English and Spanish fluently and has a good command of Chinese (Mandarin), Italian, and Greek.
