He was born in Dubrovnik in 1961. He graduated at the Zagreb Academy of Music in 1987 obtaining a title of the academic musician.
Engagements in representative bodies and executive institutions during his political career are:Deputy Mayor of the City of Dubrovnik and Councillor in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Assembly, President of the Caucus of the Croatian Democratic Party Councillors (and coalition partners) of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and a Member of the Croatian Parliament from 2004 until 2015.
Previously he was a State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Croatia from 2016 until 2020, and from 2020 he is a State Secretary for Political Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.
