David Toman is an analyst of the European Values Center for Security Policy based in Prague. He conducts research on the Indo-Pacific region and its linkages to European security. His primary focus is East Asia, covering Japan, China, Taiwan, and the Korean Peninsula. He was also a Blue Book Trainee in the Cabinet of Vice-President of the European Commission for Democracy and Demography. He holds two master’s degrees (in Media Studies and International Relations) from Charles University in Prague and spent one semester at Waseda University in Tokyo.
