From October 1, 2022, Jakov Devčić is the director of the office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Serbia and Montenegro. He was the European policy coordinator for the vice presidents of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag, Patricia Lipps and Katja Leikert (2019–2022). For the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, he worked in the coordination of European policy (2018–2019), in the Foundation’s presidency (2015–2018), and in the Foundation’s office in Kyiv (2013–2015).
Jakov Devčić gained his business experience at Siemens in Brussels – the EU Government Affairs department, in the German embassy in Budapest; in the department for foreign policy of the CDU of Germany, as well as with the member of the European Parliament Manfred Weber, the president of the parliamentary group of the European People’s Party in the European Parliament.
Jakov Devčić studied political science (in Bamberg) and international politics with a focus on European studies (in Budapest). He speaks German, Serbian, English, French and Ukrainian.
