Sofija Kirsanov is a Master’s student in Political Science at Central European University, specializing in political behavior.
As Youth Leader Coordinator in the Seeing is Believing project (U.S. Mission to NATO, Johns Hopkins SAIS, FORUM), she co-authored Youth Leaders’ Recommendations to NATO for the Western Balkans and represented Montenegrin youth at the NATO Youth Summit 2025, Balkan Reflections on the NATO Summit in Washington, during visits to NATO Headquarters and briefings with the DSG and other senior NATO and U.S. officials.
She co-authored the public opinion study Enduring Values, Emerging Perspectives: A Study on Youth Attitudes in Montenegro toward NATO.
She is co-founder of the Network for Youth Activism of Montenegro, the country’s largest youth-led organization, and a member of YATA Montenegro, where she supports communication on NATO. She gained institutional experience in the Parliament of Montenegro and assisted in the Council of Europe’s election observation missions.
