Record media interest in the largest security forum in Southeastern Europe
The 2BS Forum is taking place from October 5 to October 7, 2023, at the ‘Splendid’ Hotel in Budva. The Forum will be open with a reception for guests on October 5, 2023, while the formal program will commence the following day, on Friday, October 6, 2023.
The Forum, as the leading conference in Southeastern Europe, provides a unique platform that brings together high-ranking officials from states and governments, representatives of parliaments, international organizations, and diplomatic missions, as well as prominent experts in the field of politics and security, to advocate for Euro-Atlantic ideas and initiate discussions on regional and global trends.
The 2BS Forum is a platform dedicated to the development and improvement of democracy and security, as well as positioning Montenegro on the map of the most relevant political-security events. At the thirteenth 2BS Forum, discussions will revolve around the significance and role of NATO for the security and stability of Montenegro, the future of the Western Balkan region, and the contemporary challenges facing the transatlantic community, among other topics.
At the discussions during the two intensive days of the Forum, the highest foreign and Montenegrin state officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, as well as globally recognized experts and academics in the fields of security and international relations will participate. The panels will feature, among others, the EU’s Special Representative for the Serbia-Kosovo dialogue, Miroslav Lajčak, Slovak Member of the European Parliament, Vladimir Bilčik, the U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, Judy Rising Reinke, Romania’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Adrian Davidoiu, and many other prominent figures who will share their perspectives on the future of the Western Balkans, the U.S. approach to stability in the Western Balkans, and the EU’s security policy in light of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
This year’s 2BS Forum has seen record numbers of registered journalists from Montenegro and around the world who have been accredited to report on the leading security and political conference in Southeastern Europe.
